British National Cycling Jerseys (1978) from Paris-Roubaix’s Flickr stream.
These are the British national jerseys of this era. The national one with blue body and red sleeves was used for International duty and the white one with red and blue hoops is the national champion’s jersey. It’s still in use today but the international one has been replaced by the Union Jack version with Sky logos emblazoned onto it. When Tom Simpson won the world road race championship he was wearing the famous blue and red-sleeved jersey, likewise the great Beryl Burton, Hugh Porter when he was a world champion on the track on many occasions and others like Tony Doyle, Graham Webb, Mandy Jones, etc
Campeão Mundial de 1973.
